The article analyses posters and the activities of theatres and cinemas in Krasnoyarsk in the 1970s and 1980s. This period was significant for the development of the city's industrial potential, and the cultural sphere was also undergoing active development in the middle of the second half of the 20th century. The study is based on materials from the Krasnoyarsky Rabochy newspaper, which features posters and announcements of events held in cultural institutions. The aim of this work is to study the main trends in the development of theatre and cinema in the 1970s and 1980s in the city of Krasnoyarsk. The research method used was textual and contextual analysis, which allows us to trace the dynamics of cultural processes and public perception of theatre and cinema in Krasnoyarsk, as well as to identify the relationship between socio-political conditions and cultural events of the time. Data from posters, news headlines and articles published in newspaper issues serve as a significant representative for identifying the vector of cultural and educational work and the formation of the value and worldview sphere, since cultural and art institutions are an effective tool for education and moral improvement. The results obtained in the course of the study allow us to learn more about the heritage of the city of Krasnoyarsk and determine its place in the development of Siberia's cultural potential. The authors of the article conclude that despite the shortcomings at the beginning of the period, due to the greater emphasis on industrial development, the city managed to increase its potential and make a significant contribution to the formation of a developed and accessible cultural environment throughout the region.
