The transformation of the modern digital economy is leading to the emergence of new sectors related to the production of various products, including video games. The digital economy itself is simultaneously global, leading to similar trends in its formation and development in different regions, and local, leading to the emergence of distinct industries. One example of such an industry is the Chinese video game industry, which has recently played a significant role in global video game culture. An analysis of certain economic patterns in the industry's functioning suggests that the general logic of its development is linked to the specifics of the Chinese economy, meaning that at this stage, its integration into the global economic system is also leading to changes within the industry itself. These characteristics are reflected in the specifics of modern Chinese video games, which are characterized by a desire to create a metagame experience focused on enhancing the player's experience, extending beyond the purely gameplay context to include new forms of social interaction and certain mechanics that expand on the game's original elements. These characteristics lead the Chinese gaming industry to construct a local digital cultural space based on the platform economy, which in this case is not a technical invention, but an individual video game, creating a context for social interaction that has a significant impact not only on the game itself, but also on the digital communities associated with it.
